Don't Wait Until Monday
(Or August. Or September.)
Raise your hand if you've ever said one of these:
"I'll get back after vacation."
"I'll start Monday."
"Things are just crazy right now."
"It's way too hot."
Listen...we live in Florida. It's going to be hot until approximately Christmas. 😅
Every summer, routines get flipped upside down. Kids are home, vacations pop up, work gets busy, and before you know it you've missed a couple workouts. Then somehow a couple workouts turn into a couple weeks, and suddenly you're convinced you have to "start over."
Good news: you don't.
One workout doesn't make you fit, and one missed week doesn't erase everything you've worked for. The people who stay healthy for years aren't the people with perfect attendance. They're the people who stop waiting for the "perfect time" and just...come back.
"But I'm traveling..."

Because fitness doesn't have to be all or nothing.
The 20-minute workout counts. The hotel gym workout counts. The bodyweight workout in your driveway counts. Movement is movement. And while we're talking about summer...
Don't avoid training just because it's hot outside. Your body is incredible at adapting to heat when you expose it to it consistently. Over time, you'll sweat more efficiently, tolerate the heat better, and everyday life in Florida starts feeling...well...a little less like you're walking across the surface of the sun.
Besides, if you only train when the weather is perfect, you're going to have a pretty short season around here. Just remember to be smart when training in the heat: stay hydrated, scale the intensity when needed, listen to your body, and don't be afraid to take an extra rest break. Your body will adapt, but give it the time and respect it demands.
SO....
...don't wait for Monday. Don't wait for August. Definitely don't wait until New Year's (yuck, crowded commercial gyms with no available equipment!). Show up today. Do what you can. Then come back tomorrow.
Your coaches aren't keeping score of how long you've been gone. In fact, we're just excited to see you walk back through the door!
